Donald Lloyd McKay - Sept. 11, 1928 - Sept. 17, 2006
Donald Lloyd McKay, 78 a resident of The Dalles, died at his home on Sunday, September 17, 2006.
He was born in Anyox, BC Canada on September 11, 1928, the second of four children to Lloyd H. & Margaret B. (Coates) McKay. He grew up in Princeton, BC Canada where he graduated from Princeton High BC, Class of 1946.
Donald married Betty Doreen Olson in Allenby, BC Canada on January 16, 1948. He served in the RCAF-Canadian Air Force and has resided in The Dalles for 45 years. He worked in the Aluminum Plant, was a member of the Eagles and he enjoyed being a Volunter Fireman.
He is survived by his wife, Betty McKay of The Dalles, his two daughters, Colleen Craig of Hood River, Oregon; and Karen Schlesinger and her husband Craig of Roseburg, Oregon; his brother Bill McKay of Worley, ID; and four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Private family services will be held September 19, 2006.
