Posting Pictures

Hello All,
As you see I figured out how to post pictures. Watch out now. I love to take pictures and would love to take a photography class. It would be fun to have my own photography business. Anyway, here are some pictures of the last few weeks. Aren't my neices cute? I think so.

I finally got to the "Yard Work" yesterday and boy was it work. As you can see I had lots of weeds. Every muscle in my body was sore. It was finally a nice day and the grass had time to dry out. Midge from my church helped me out huge. We did lots of weeding, lawn mowing, and cutting branches from a tree in my back yard. She is awesome. (Her husband Larry came over too and helped - Thanks Larry!) We worked all night and got so much done.

The next project is to paint the outside of my house this summer. It is pretty small so it won't take long but if any of you would like to help let me know. The more the merrier. It feels good to get long needed work done around the house. Being single can be challenging when you need some male input or strength. I've had my best friend Becca's husband help me out with some projects and I appreciate all the help I can get. Thanks everyone! Talk to you all soon. XOXO

Salmon Falls Camp - Leaders & Training Retreat

I was in Washougal, WA this last weekend for a retreat that the CEA put on for leaders who work with or are involved in youth and young adults ministry in some aspect. We had a group of five including myself from my church at GVCA attend. We had a lot of fun hanging out and catching up with other friends in the CEA. I didn't really know what to expect because this was my first retreat but I was extremely blessed and encouraged by the word and testimonies of the speakers and what they have experienced in working with youth. It can be tough but very rewarding.
This retreat was open to the Oregon & Washington district and we had quite a big attendance. This is their 3rd year for this retreat and was spear headed by Pastor Eddie Staton's church in Battleground.

I also had the opportunity to visit with my friends Misty T., her brother Curt & siter-in-law Ruth, & Andrea S. and we played in Portland and went to Pioneer Square to hear a band and then went to the Saturday Market. It was raining all day but we still had fun. I love visiting friends I haven't seen for awhile. It was a packed, fun-filled weekend and I can't wait to visit again. It was good to visit Calvary and see all the familiar faces. Orval & Irene had their 60th wedding anniversary party after church and we had cake for them. I also got to spend some time with Alisha and her beautiful baby girl Bella.

Well, I will try to update more often and will attach pictures as soon as I figure it out. I will be leaving for UT on friday for a week to help my grandmother from recovery of surgery so I will talk to you all later and write when I get back. Love you all bunches! Leah
