MCMC Annual Company Picnic!

So, I was asked to be on the planning commity this year for the annual MCMC (Mid Columbia Medical Center - The Dalles hospital)Company Picnic. It is always at Sorosis Park and we had so much fun. I took my grandmother with me as my date. She used to work in the O.R. surgery at the hospital 30 + years ago so she saw a few older people she worked with. We had catered food (chicken, ribs, all kinds of salads, etc....) and lots of goodies including fried bread, cotton candy, snow cones, etc.

It was from 4 - 8 pm and I was there from start to setting up and finish to tearing down and clean up. There was a DJ who played a great variety of music. I did a little booging. I couldn't get Grandma out there with me though.

We had raffles for prizes, bingo, volleyball, softball, egg & water balloon toss, etc. I actually won a prize. It is an outside door lantern.

I was asked to sign up for face painting. These kids were so cute. They would ask for something and I said I would try but would guarantee it. Luckily we forgot to bring a mirror so they couldn't see it anyway. I had a few laughs from the parents though.

This one kid starting describing to me what he wanted and it was a green nose and three eye balls on each side of his cheeks. I thought to myself, what does his parents let him watch? Then I asked what I was painting and he said it was from the movie Pirates of the Caribbean.

Food & Fun!
